Orange County Southwest Branch Library in Carrboro
The 203 Project, at 203 S. Greensboro Street, is a partnership between Orange County and the Town of Carrboro to site an Orange County Southwest Branch Library in Carrboro. I have been a stalwart advocate for siting the Orange County Southwest Branch Library in Carrboro since 2006 when I met with then Orange County Commission Chair, Moses Carey. I advocated a Carrboro branch library. Chair Carey asked that I come before the County Commissioners to request the re-establishment of the Orange County Library Task Force to address the on-going interest and need for an Orange County branch library in Carrboro. I then served on Orange County Library Task Force with Friends of the Carrboro Branch Library, librarians and Orange County Commissioners.
Served on the Town of Carrboro subcommittee to site a southwest Orange County branch library 2007-2012.
